US Public Sector: Shifting Power and Shrinking of Rights

Course information provided by the 2016-2017 Catalog.

Our studies of the U.S.'s public sector will highlight the policy, political, labor relations, and legal perspectives of Professors  Harry Katz and Lee Adler, who will jointly teach this class. Although we will offer a national perspective of the sector, much of our focus will be on New York state and NYC. Policy monographs, journal articles, book chapters, and legal cases will be our primary readings.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: ILRLR 2010 and ILRLR 2050 or permission of instructor.
