Course Description
Course information provided by the 2025-2026 Catalog.
It is a long-term, in-depth statistical analysis of real-world dataset using various statistical methods and computer packages (such as SAS, R, SPSS, etc.). Students work in teams (of maximum size 4) to solve business, managerial or scientific problems for clients. Projects are assigned by Dept. of Statistical Science to teams. Each team has a dedicated faculty adviser, who supervises the projects and assigns grades. Grades are assigned individually to team members. In special cases teams may collaborate with groups in other Departments, e.g., M.Eng. project teams.
