This course will emphasize anatomical, physiological, behavioral and other differences between the donkey and the horse. It will also highlight the differences between the typical domestic donkey, feral donkeys, working donkeys, and those involved in production systems. The goal is to provide the tools necessary for practitioners in equine, mixed or other fields to have successful, productive encounters with donkeys whether those encounters occur in their veterinary lives or their personal travels.
