Course Description
Course information provided by the 2018-2019 Catalog.
Students will collaborate with mentors from industry to learn how to become a part of the open-source community and contribute to open-source projects, with students actively committing to open-source projects throughout the semester. Lectures, in addition to discussing open-source processes and tools, will teach students how to be proactive members of larger systems, such as teams, projects, companies, and society at large, by delving into topics from psychology, sociology, business, economics, gender studies, ethnic studies, writing, speaking, and ethics.
When Offered Spring.
Regular Academic Session. Choose one lecture and one laboratory.
