Structural Methods in Biochemistry

Lectures cover the fundamentals of X-ray crystallography, X-ray scattering, and electron microscopy with a practical emphasis on methods for investigating the three-dimensional structures of macromolecules. Topics include the physics of scattering and imaging; sample preparation; data collection and processing; and structure determination, refinement, validation, and interpretation.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: Introductory Calculus and Introductory Physics.
