Course Description
Course information provided by the 2017-2018 Catalog.
Students in this course study Hugh Gauch's book Scientific Method in Brief, which is designed to help scientists become better scientists through deeper understanding of common themes that extend across the disciplines. Topics include the history and philosophy of science, reliance on evidence, deductive and inductive logic, probability, parsimony, and hypothesis testing.
