An Introduction to Affine Grassmannians and their Applications Affine Grassmannians are infinite-dimensional spaces that are central objects in geometric representation theory and in the study of moduli spaces of G-bundles on algebraic curves. They have also come to play an increasingly important role in number theory. In this course, we will study their basic geometric properties and discuss some applications.
