This course provides an introduction to theoretical concepts and practical applications related to areas of investment analysis.  Upon completion, students should be able to (1) understand different security types and investment processes in major financial markets; (2) perform bond and stock valuation, understand basic theories and practices of bond and stock portfolio management; (3) analyze options, futures and other financial derivatives, and understand their usage for risk management; (4) understand risk-neutral valuation and implement the approach in the binomial option pricing model; and (5) understand performance evaluation methods and assess the performance of passively and actively managed funds.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: HADM 2220, HADM 2250 or equivalent.
