Course Description
Course information provided by the 2017-2018 Catalog.
In this course, furthering oral communication skills and writing skills is emphasized. A comprehensive review of fundamental and advanced grammatical structures is integrated with short stories, literary excerpts, videos, poems, and articles from French magazines or newspapers, all chosen for thematic or cultural interest. Students write weekly papers (essays and translations), have daily conversations focusing on the topics at hand, and give at last one presentation in class.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: FREN 2095 or CASE Q++.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: students may not get credit for FREN 2180 if they have previously taken French 3010, 3050, or 3130.
Language Requirement Satisfies Option 1.
When Offered Fall, spring.
Comments FREN 2310 may be taken concurrently with FREN 2180.

Prerequisites: FREN 2095 or CASE Q++. FREN 2310 may also be taken concurrently with FREN 2180. Students who have taken FREN 2181 are not eligible to take FREN 2180 for credit.
