Course Description
Course information provided by the 2016-2017 Catalog.
This course exposes graduate students to current research questions and methods. The topics and methods can be loosely described as originating with optimal policy questions in macroeconomics and public finance. Compared to other classes, this course devotes more time to going over the details of a smaller number of papers and trying to really understand them at several different levels: the technical details of the most general proofs the authors have, simpler examples, computational techniques.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: completion of economics graduate core.
When Offered Spring.
