Course Description
Course information provided by the 2014-2015 Catalog.
Our objective is to produce students literate in Persian. Therefore, writing and reading are taught along with speaking and listening skills. The course is designed with particular focus on communicative and speaking tasks in the classroom. Homework focuses on grammar, reading and writing assignments. Basics of colloquial Persian are also introduced. The course is designed with the ACTFL and ILR criteria in mind to make students competitive applicants for study abroad programs, scholarships and grants from government and non-government organizations. At the completion of this course, students should be able to write, read, and speak on Elementary High level.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: NES 1320 or permission of instructor.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: 15 students.
