Course Description
Course information provided by the 2014-2015 Catalog.
Selected topics in the analysis and design of vehicle components and vehicle systems. Emphasis on automobiles. Engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and aerodynamics are discussed. The course uses first principles and applies them to specific systems. The course is highly quantitative, using empirical and analytical approaches. Senior Design report required.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: ENGRD 2020. Prerequisite or corequisite: MAE 4300, or permission of instructor.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: senior standing or permission of instructor.
When Offered Spring.
Satisfies Requirement Fulfills Senior Design requirement.
Comments Co-meets with MAE 4860/MAE 5860.
