Course Description
Course information provided by the 2014-2015 Catalog.
This seminar-style colloquium provides an opportunity for intellectual exchange across all the fields of History and related disciplines. Each week, a graduate student will pre-circulate an article-length essay or dissertation chapter, to be read and commented upon by the participants and then to be discussed at the colloquium. The aim is to create a lively, critical, secure space where graduate students can try out new ideas and approaches, offer and receive in-depth responses to fresh work, and gain insight into current professional practices.
