Course Description

This graduate-level course offers an introduction to implementing evaluations in the public and nonprofit sectors. Students will learn how to pilot test measurement instruments, collect, analyze, interpret and report evaluation data to generate useful evidence for improvement and decision-making. Emphasizes understanding the quality tradeoffs inherent in decisions about data collection and analysis. Work is focused on a real-world evaluation project done in small teams. Projects include local, state, national and international options.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prior completion of HE 6012 is recommended, but not required.
