Course Description
Course information provided by the 2014-2015 Catalog.
Covers soil exploration, sampling, and in-situ testing techniques; bearing capacity, stress distribution, and settlement; design of shallow and deep foundations; compaction and site preparation; and seepage and dewatering of foundation excavations.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: CEE 3410.
Outcomes
- Utilize basic civil engineering tools to address problems.
- Develop skills for site evaluation.
- Develop design tools for modern foundation engineering practice.
