Capstone course in which students explore and discuss contemporary issues related to the dairy industry, with special emphasis on public or consumer perspectives and concerns. Exposure to the scientific literature and ability to integrate the literature into the discussion of these issues will be of particular emphasis.


Permission Note Enrollment limited to: junior or senior standing.

Outcomes

  • Students will interpret varying points of view and lines of argument from materials or media on specific topics of interest within the dairy industry.
  • Students will be able to utilize the scientific literature to reinforce or challenge points of view and lines of argument from materials presented in class.
  • Students will employ written and oral communication skills and engage in discussion of contemporary issues related to the dairy industry.
