Course Description
Course information provided by the 2019-2020 Catalog.
This course will build upon introductory material presented in EAS 4870/ECE 4870. It is intended mainly for graduate students interested in studying the upper atmosphere/ionosphere using incoherent scatter radar. Familiarity with basic electromagnetics, plasma physics, and kinetic theory is assumed. Lectures will be supplemented with practical examples of radar applications drawn from the fields of aeronomy and space physics.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: EAS 4870/ECE 4870 or permission of instructor.
