Course Description
Course information provided by the 2018-2019 Catalog.
By most measures, Americans trust each other and the government far less today than they have in the past. This seminar examines the causes of declining interpersonal and public sector trust, as well as the social, legal, and political consequences of living in a low-trust society. We will pay particular attention to the role of law and courts in producing trust, including the limits of those institutional devices.
