Course Description

Fundamentals of heat and mass transfer. Macroscopic and microscopic balances. Applications to problems involving conduction, convection, and diffusion.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: CHEME 3230.
Outcomes
- Learn to formulate and solve mathematical models that capture the primary processes governing heat and mass transfer in simple physical settings. (a,e,g,k)
- Design heat exchangers and heat transfer equipment. (a,b,c,e,g.k)
