Course Description
Course information provided by the 2017-2018 Catalog.
Introduces students to theories and research in adult development and aging. Describes biological, psychological and social changes from youth through late adulthood. Identifies strategies to promote healthy aging at the individual and societal level.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: HD 1150 or HD 1170 or PSYCH 1101 (recommended, not required)
Outcomes
- Students understand age-related changes in biological, psychological, and social functioning and understand strategies to promote health aging.
