This course examines the design and implementation of management control systems in service firms for the purpose of strategic planning, performance evaluation, and risk management. Management control is broadly concerned with guiding and motivating performance, particularly through the selection, measurement, and communication of critical financial and non-financial performance indicators. Using relevant case studies, this course will focus on the benefits and limitations of utilizing various types of accounting controls in service organizations.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: HADM 1210 and HADM 2210 or equivalent.
