Course Description

This course offers an introduction to (post) colonial literature and thought written in French in the 20th century onwards. We could study authors from Africa, the Caribbean, Québec, Southeast Asia or metropolitan France. Examined issues might include the critique of colonialism, the debate on race, or the meanings of Francophonie.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: FREN 2310 or CASE Q++, or permission of instructor.
