Principles of modeling communication baseband and passband channels. Methods for communicating in the presence of intersymbol interference, noise, channel uncertainty, and asynchrony. Design, in software, of a transmitter and receiver to communicate over an audio-band channel.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite:  ECE 2200 and ECE 3100.  Prior or concurrent completion of ECE 3250 recommended.

Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will not receive credit for both ECE 4670 and ECE 5670.
