Course Description
Course information provided by the 2016-2017 Catalog.
Introduces students to the analytical tools of queer theory, and will use them to explore the development of gender and sexual identities across the lifespan. The course will survey the history of gender and sexuality, with an emphasis on American gender and sexual histories. Students will gain a sociological, psychological, and neurobiological appreciation for the diversities of gender and sexual expressions among human and non-human species.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: social science course.
