Covers microeconomic theory and its applications to health and health care markets. Topics include consumer demand for health and health behaviors, the supply side of health promotion, the industrial organization of health care, and cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis of health interventions. Second course in Ph.D.- evel health economics sequence, but the courses may be taken in any order.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: Ph.D. level courses in microeconomic theory and econometrics.
