Belly dancing is an exciting Middle Eastern folk art which can help in the development of flexibility, body awareness, and overall body tone. The class will begin with warm-ups, continue with basic movements and rhythms while putting them together in dance to the music of the Middle East. A veil (a piece of lightweight fabric 3 yards long by 45 inches wide-such as chiffon) will be needed for some of the classes. Veils may be purchased through the instructor. Please wear leotard and tights or loose clothing and bring an extra large square scarf to tie around the hips.
