Course information provided by the 2015-2016 Catalog.

In many applications of signal processing the information needed to complete the design is unknown to the designer prior to operation or is expected to become "unknown" by changing with time. Adaptive signal processing schemes based on recursive parameter estimation algorithms are one solution to such problems. This course will introduce some of the more popular recursive parameter estimation algorithms via their use in signal separation, communication, and control systems applications, such as: carrier recovery, noise cancellation, simultaneous identification and pole placement control, echo cancellation, duct noise control, and channel equalization.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: ECE 4250 or ECE 5210 and proficiency in Matlab.
